TONIGHT: Governor to host town hall at Chugiak High

Gov. Mike Dunleavy will host a town hall meeting as part of his Conversations with Alaskans tour, on Monday, March 2, at Chugiak High School. The meeting is part of an ongoing effort to engage with and hear from Alaskans across the state.

“Without input from the people of Alaska on the critical issues facing our state, we won’t be able to overcome these difficulties to the best of our ability,” Dunleavy said. “I want to hear what ideas Alaskans have on how we can overcome our current fiscal challenges and create prosperity for generations to come. It’s time for Alaskans to unite in a common purpose and work together to put our state back on the right track.”

The governor’s ongoing townhalls series aims to gather recommendations from community leaders, business groups, school districts and others throughout Alaska. The meeting tonight runs from 6-8 p.m. and is open to the public. It takes place in the Chugiak High School Auditorium (16525 S Birchwood Loop Rd., Chugiak).

More public events are being planned for communities across the state and will be announced soon.
