    More than 150,000 Anchorage ballots still haven’t been returned

    More than a 150,000 Anchorage voters have yet to return their mail-in ballots for the municipal election which ends on April 7.

    The city sent 215,000 ballots to registered voters on March 17. As of Monday, April 6, just over 50,000 ballots had been returned.

    This is an election which could reshape the Assembly and school board by replacing left-leaning members with candidates who are pro-life, pro-family and willing to defend religious liberties and parental rights.

    The Alaska Watchman has endorsed the following candidates based on their support of traditional family values in the public square.

    ANCHORAGE ASSEMBLY

    • Jamie Allard – Seat C
    • Nick Danger – Seat E
    • Christine Hill – Seat G
    • Monty Dyson – Seat I
    • Rick Costillo – Seat K

    ANCHORAGE SCHOOL BOARD

    • Dave Donley – Seat C
    • John (JC) Cates – Seat D

    WAYS TO VOTE

    There are many ways to turn in your ballot before the April 7 deadline. Below are your options.

    • Return ballots at City Hall (Open this Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and open April 6-7 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters in line by 8 p.m. on Election Day will be allowed to vote. The City Hall is located at 632 W. 6th Avenue, Suite 155
    • Return ballots via a secure drop box (open 24-7). These close at 8 p.m. on Election Day, April 7. Find a drop box here. org/elections/dropboxor you may call the Voter Hotline at 243-VOTE (8683).
    • Return ballots via the mail. Mail-in ballots require 70 cents postage and must be postmarked on or before April 7.
