The event may be virtual, but the running is for real.

FYNDout Free Pregnancy Center, a pro-life outreach in Fairbanks, is holding a virtual run for life on Aug. 22 to help raise funds for its pro-life outreach.

The pregnancy center has operated in Fairbanks for 30 years, providing free pregnancy tests by trained registered nurses, free ultrasounds and medically accurate information so women can be fully informed about all their options. The center also offers parenting classes, baby clothes and supplies, adoption information and post-abortion counseling.

Money raised from the upcoming 5K will directly support the pro-life center’s work. Participants are asked to recruit friends and family to financially sponsor their walk or run.

All participants are asked to sign up by July 25 to be guaranteed a t-shirt and other FYNDout swag. Participants signed up following July 25 will receive merchandise while supplies last.

“Not a runner? Consider sponsoring someone to join in on the fun and empower the pro-life movement!” an announcement for the event states.
